The Minimap.
The minimap shows which areas of a dungeon level the players have explored and which ones they have yet to investigate. This makes it easy for them to figure out where they need to go to complete the level.
Each player is represented by a colored flag. Player 1 is blue, player 2 is green, player 3 is red, and player 4 is purple. Here is a screenshot of a minimap displaying a game with two players:
Here's what a minimap looks like when the level has been essentially completely charted:
No more aimless wandering around the dungeon! Yay!
